Parents, next week (December 12-16) will be healthy eating week in our grade 4 class. We have learned about the four food groups, reading food labels , nutrients, and making healthy choices regarding snacks. To conclude our unit, the students will help with the shopping for and packing of their lunches for next week. The goal will be to eat healthy at school and home. Try to minimize the amount of processed and packaged foods. Fresh is better. A good suggestion is to have your child help with the planning and/or preparation of your breakfasts and dinners. On Monday, December 19, I will prepare our annual pasta lunch for the class. We will have both meat sauce and an oil and garlic sauce, along with a salad.
