First Week of December

We will be wrapping up our geometry unit in math next week with a test on Thursday, December 6. The learning goals are: construct congruent figures, measure angles, sort and classify figures, identify similar figures, identifying solids and designing skeletons. There will be a class review on Wednesday. Here is a good interactive site for using a protractor to measure angles.

In social studies, students will have to present a radio broadcast promoting their province. They will be given the success criteria Friday, November 30. The broadcast should be persuasive and between 30-60 seconds. Time will be given in class to develop, organize and practise the commercial. A unit test on Canada will be on Thursday, December 13.

We will finish reading Mice at Centre Ice on Monday. Students will then write a newspaper article on the championship game between the mice and rats.

Below is a helpful site to help organize ideas for newspaper articles.
