This will be a short but busy week. In math we will begin our next unit, Geometry. We will be looking at congruent figures, exploring and measuring angles. In literacy, we will continue reading Mice at Centre Ice (chapters 5-9). Words of the week have been assigned and are due Thursday. In Social Studies there will be a quiz on the Great Lakes and mapping skills (coordinate grid, compass rose, directions) on Wednesday…surprise! Ok, so it isn’t a surprise anymore. Our focus is now on the physical regions of Canada. Students will also receive their trading card project outline for on a given province. Four classes will be devoted to completing the project at school. Research can be done at home, but the card will be completed at school.
Progress reports will go home on Monday.
ALSO…TUESDAY IS PASTA DAY! I WILL PREPARE THE PASTA WITH OIL AND GARLIC SAUCE, LETTUCE SALAD AND BUNS.
