An Egg-cellent Osmosismeter

First you place a regular egg into a container of vinegar, pointy side up.

Once the shell has dissolved and left the membrane exposed, crack the pointy end of the egg and insert a glass tube.

In order to seal it properly, melt candle wax around the glass, where it was inserted into the egg.

Now place the egg into a jar of water with the exposed membrane submerged.  Within hours, you will see osmosis take place as water enters the egg and forces the liquid inside the egg up the glass rod…awesome!
